This weekend was a little busy.  With the excitement of the Olympics in London (which I so wish I was at) and things in general, I managed a few things in the igloo.

First up, was the Team Meeting on Saturday morning.  My upline just got back from the SU! Convention...and the excitement she brought home....OH MY!! I am SO going next year!  I've already begun saving!!!

we made 4 cards using items from the upcoming Holiday Mini (available August 1)  check out my site www.crazypenguindesigns.stampinup.net  then!  the Holiday Mini...is HUGE!!!!

sometimes simple is best.  it's bright and cheerful and just too darn cute!
How darling is this little guy????  I love the googly eye too!!  I'm not a big fan of Halloween cards...but I want this set!  lol  too stinking cute!
I love...love...LOVE this set!  the matching stamps and framelits... how cute is that?  Match it up with the new scented embossing powder in Peppermint stix and  Sugar & Spice.... oh boy!
this little fella is cute.  and the great thing is the other stamps in the set are great all year round!
one of my new favourite stamp sets... the Topsy-Turvy Celebration set.  I had fun making this for a friend at work... I know she'll love it!

thanks for stopping by... have a fantabulous day!!!

Been kind of quiet the last couple of weeks... and I'm feeling out of my element lol.  I am so used to spending my weekends down in the igloo, but I've been having issues with my hand that I just couldn't do it.  I am hoping that I can get down and create some more this weekend.

I will be seeing my upline tomorrow at a team meeting and I'm super excited!  She just got back from convention-and I am dying to hear all that went on, and see some new techniques and ideas!!!  I am SO going next year!!!

I got a delivery of goodies yesterday, and I'll have more today...so I am itching to get into the igloo to play :)  fingers crossed I'll have some things to post this weekend LOL

I love friday classes!  and this one was no exception :)

We did Christmas in July.  and with the heat waves we've had (and are about to have) thinking cool is not a bad thing.

we used the new stamp set:Chock-full of Cheer,
DSP:be of good cheer
card stock:crumb cake, early espresso, gumball green, cherry cobbler, midnite muse, very vanilla.
inks:cherry cobbler, gumball green, soft suede, cherry cobbler
embossing folders: Fancy fan, stripe and petals-a-plenty .
punches:scallop, 1 3/4" circle, 1/2" circle, scallop edge, scallop trim, postage stamp, decorative label
other:framelits-apothecary accents, rhinestones basic jewels, baker's twine, cherry cobbler 1/2" scallop dots ribbon.
I stamped my envelopes to coordinate with the cards

thanks for looking, and I can't wait to add more Christmas cards!  I have A LOT to make for this year for family and friends-and to sell as well :)

phew..what a busy couple of days!  Last night I finished the jobs I was hired to do.  and I must say, they came out great!
These are Jill Hilliard's cards (just my work)

I love this set:Betsy's Blossoms.  The new IN colours are great too!  The sentiment is from Friendly Phrases.  It was a bit time consuming, but worth it!  The envelope was stamped as well to coordinate
I can see so many ideas with this set: it's from the new Holiday Mini.  it's called Scentsational Season.  It has coordinating Framelits dies too!! how awesome is that?!  card stock used was:Early Espresso, crumb cake, very vanilla and the DSP is Be of good cheer.  I think these came out great too!

I was asked by the social committee at work to make a big thank you card for one of our managers.  Since she has been a good customer of mine, I enjoyed doing it. (even tho it WAS last minute of them to ask me)...
again, the betsy's blossoms.  all the new IN colours were used-midnite muse and raspberry ripple card stock, on whisper white. ink colours used:raspberry ripple, primrose petals, midnite muse, gumball green, and summer starfruit.  the butterfly was punched from the blossom punch and trimmed, the butterfly antennae was from the papillon potpourri stamp set, and the little pink flowers were fussy cut and mounted with dimensionals.
I am quite pleased with this card :) and I know she will be too!

thanks for looking :)

Even a day off-isn't a day off lol.  and actually I would prefer those days (like yesterday) instead of days like today when I'm up at the crack of stupid and in work already lol.  (But I AM grateful to have a job and work).
I was hired by my SU Upline to help her work on  some things, so I managed to almost finish 2 projects she had me working on. :)  but man my fingers were sore from fussy cutting 40ish little flowers LOL

I managed to finish one card for myself that I needed for a birthday at work...
I love the new IN-colours, the gumball green is so versatile.  and melon mambo makes it pop :)

thanks for looking :) hopefully I'll have more to post soon!

Man was this weekend HOT!  Too hot to even play in the igloo!  (I seriously need to get a window AC unit down there!)  However, I did accomplish something this weekend...  I got to go over to another demonstrator's house and we played for a few hours.  I took this new stamp set over- World Treasures, and my new fancy fan embossing folder, as well as a couple other new stamp sets I just ordered.  I'm glad I did, because Helen got to use them for her swaps for Convention.  (I am planning on going next year!)

She happened to have the vellum card stock and ribbon I needed, so I made two of these cards-one for her and one for me.  I love the effect.

The picture doesn't do it justice!  The peacock was stamped in Midnight Muse (I love the new SU Foam stamp pads), then embossed in clear embossing powder.  (carefully because vellum DOES burn)
then on the reverse side I coloured the peacock in, mounted it on white card stock.  The fancy fan embossing folder was used (lucky limeade card stock)  and the sentiment was from the same stamp set-hand cut (since I don't have the framelits for it yet)

I love how it came out.  I will have to look and see what other stamps I can do this effect with...

thanks for looking :)

I love when you don't plan on doing something, then end up doing it-and it all comes together lol.

that was the case last night.  I hadn't planned on playing in the igloo...but there I was, 2 hrs before I had to get to bed (cause I just love getting up at the crack of stupid), sitting at my work area.  I was just looking at things, and cleaning up from making the box...and before I knew it, I had these stamped and cut out ready to be put together....

this one used the new in-colour Midnight Muse. I am loving these new colours!

This one used Gumball Green.  I love this one!

thanks for looking :)

Hopefully everyone had a lovely 4th of July.  I managed to spend a little time in the igloo before joining the festivities in the afternoon. (and before it got TOO hot)

I just got my shelves hung up for displaying my projects and special items.  I wish they were longer lol  so many things I want to put up!

I FINALLY got my stamp set-Need for Speed!  I have wanted this set for a while because of my son-he loves airplanes and the car is really cool.  and ever since I saw this idea-I've wanted to CASE it!  I love it in the new in colour:Gumball Green.

I already have 2 orders for cards with this stamp set, so I'm pleased :)

I got the supplies for this card keeper class a couple months ago.  I was waiting to see what set of papers would jump out at me.  I made this one to take to work to keep all the cards I have to sell in it.  I like this better than the little container I was using.  I also found a few Demos who had extras (as this has retired) and I am getting them so I can offer this class!  Plus I will make one to hold my Christmas cards, one for Birthday cards, and one for thank you and sympathy and just because cards.  It comes with 6 dividers that I covered as well.

thanks for looking and go forth and CREATE!!!  :)

This weekend was HOT! so I tried to stay cool down in the igloo.  Wasn't as cool as I had hoped it would be lol.  but I managed to work on a few things this weekend.

Friday night was another awesome card class at my upline's house!  It was butterflies!!  I love using the new products and I am loving the new stamp pads!  the coverage is AMAZING!!!
the envelopes got a coordinating stamp as well.

I also worked on a couple cards from a card club I am in:

again, using the betsy's blooms...I am loving this set!

and last but not least-I made a card for someone special.  I just had to drop them a line :)  I know they'll appreciate it.
