It's been a crazy week off from work. (I always enjoy this time off to spend more time with family and friends) Plus extra igloo time. Such as the case for today... </p><p>I got my pre-order (one of the many benefits of being a demonstrator). So, I started playing with the DSP from a new suite called New Horizon. You can order this from the new January-June 2022 catalog on January 4. </p><p>This paper is amazing! It's so beautiful and makes cards in no time. Just add any sentiment you want. It makes those hard to make sympathy cards a bit quicker. I then changed my sentiment to make some birthday cards, and I broke out the "get well soon" sentiment. I whipped out 12 cards in not time. This DSP mounted on coordinating cardstock, then mounted to a basic white base, they pop.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiUtwyHGUE2Hz-bLjt9Lbze2vsRqasqZSJ4ngjo_53d50Q_1PnXVmrUgtvnm9Vi4AD4rpkjWkEkelH7aNg_7tB_ZAxECGD2Lc3VoGbw4-iqvtXxzfxZjnluDXUehlABXJfyFzm7bAaRW_q8s9oKO3dX1MYCfgt3meZjwMIAf9Qv9DpMVmWHAb8AjJyHig=s2017" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2017" data-original-width="1639" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiUtwyHGUE2Hz-bLjt9Lbze2vsRqasqZSJ4ngjo_53d50Q_1PnXVmrUgtvnm9Vi4AD4rpkjWkEkelH7aNg_7tB_ZAxECGD2Lc3VoGbw4-iqvtXxzfxZjnluDXUehlABXJfyFzm7bAaRW_q8s9oKO3dX1MYCfgt3meZjwMIAf9Qv9DpMVmWHAb8AjJyHig=w520-h640" width="520" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhsNvypKeN-9yC2geS5l8IeU8lGP4zwJmf8YVGTKA-puC1EO-BnBQhjwDjbSUrmHyJEfFWB8tihsrqYlkxa_aPYdg1j39MKMxaBWBOzlekHHmN2nV2Jt7WkFbEX68q66a6jEXjlruUih1zpVWkITxh-RsNXhGufXtmfghK5JlQmsU9csBxAJouDpeojQQ=s2048" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1475" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhsNvypKeN-9yC2geS5l8IeU8lGP4zwJmf8YVGTKA-puC1EO-BnBQhjwDjbSUrmHyJEfFWB8tihsrqYlkxa_aPYdg1j39MKMxaBWBOzlekHHmN2nV2Jt7WkFbEX68q66a6jEXjlruUih1zpVWkITxh-RsNXhGufXtmfghK5JlQmsU9csBxAJouDpeojQQ=w461-h640" width="461" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjD6erVUIAZspsTEILydrIfB5PWuPgS4W-0BBdijN6KFsuIKlplWoTOG9V38zP1rUl4RpbHEmU0lFiIAvsq5RXdZMFwFemybQfEszU-YP-soF-UTM_uPMDzheH3QNgw0psyp88A5RyDQy5Z-br2bLxg-Br4V6FYBgQaPSbIjCcgSfE-UBJU1vwHVtORcA=s2048" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1583" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjD6erVUIAZspsTEILydrIfB5PWuPgS4W-0BBdijN6KFsuIKlplWoTOG9V38zP1rUl4RpbHEmU0lFiIAvsq5RXdZMFwFemybQfEszU-YP-soF-UTM_uPMDzheH3QNgw0psyp88A5RyDQy5Z-br2bLxg-Br4V6FYBgQaPSbIjCcgSfE-UBJU1vwHVtORcA=w494-h640" width="494" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>Thanks for stopping by. </p><p><br /></p><p>Happy Stamping! :)</p><p><br /></p>Pam Irwinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16140019401417204319noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5693565248265739645.post-55994774433176714692019-11-06T00:00:00.000-05:002019-11-06T00:00:01.833-05:00party til the cows come home<br />
one of the women I work with retired earlier this year. Just as I have a things for penguins, she has a thing for cows. So when I saw this stamp set, I HAD to get it and make her a special set of note cards. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJuHkkd_iPm0thMyFiuusUfeLzjBi7vEvJEMyo2NrFHKJ64MydcWYR6hcUPXT5NpuAelJhSjPWAU-1UnG__5Pku8WM_G8JPo3Iul2snQptDIolIBQlxbKdAo3WzL0kP6hkRBKsBx4Skbhj/s1600/cows+2019.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJuHkkd_iPm0thMyFiuusUfeLzjBi7vEvJEMyo2NrFHKJ64MydcWYR6hcUPXT5NpuAelJhSjPWAU-1UnG__5Pku8WM_G8JPo3Iul2snQptDIolIBQlxbKdAo3WzL0kP6hkRBKsBx4Skbhj/s640/cows+2019.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
I used a watercolour wash for the background and stamped the images and cut them out with my brother scan n cut. (I don't know what I would do without it). It saves me so much time on fussy cutting. I don't mind it, but when I have a lot, this little baby comes to the rescue. <br />
<br />
With special note cards, you can't have naked envelopes! these little guys are so cute! <br />
<br />
To say my friend liked these is an understatement. In fact she even sent one to me to thank me for them LOL so it's a good thing I know they're being used!<br />
<br />

For the last couple of years, I have taken on making all the birthday cards for every coworker in my company- - that includes the offices in Pennsylvania (where I am), New Jersey, Maryland, and 2 offices in New York. That's A LOT of cards! But this one is one I spend a lot of time deciding on what to make. It has to go to all the offices, so even though the birthday is in October, I start this in June. This year I adapted a mini flip album. Instead of using pictures, I adapted the flip sections for signatures.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvHgQ09uwQn2UCw2ITaYT5SyLKcVOy9npASx68lBWsFi9qL85r4fyfRrdmth0DtJZhq0kONhUtJP55VCGaiXTivZl50L9G-uztgEnSooMG2U72B7ou5n8LfXAy3CKh52UnhgXw4OQ31-Cn/s1600/teds+card++2019.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvHgQ09uwQn2UCw2ITaYT5SyLKcVOy9npASx68lBWsFi9qL85r4fyfRrdmth0DtJZhq0kONhUtJP55VCGaiXTivZl50L9G-uztgEnSooMG2U72B7ou5n8LfXAy3CKh52UnhgXw4OQ31-Cn/s640/teds+card++2019.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
This came out so well, I am quite pleased with it. Ted liked it too- - and that's all that matters. :)<br />
<br />
<br />
thanks for stopping by.<br />

A friend at work loves horses. So when this set came out in the Spring Occasions Catalog, I knew I had to get it to make her birthday card in January. I stamped the images in Staz-On and then used my ink pads and aqua painter to watercolour the card front. <br />
<br />
I absolutely love how it turned out. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiOqYEPeWwr2qUhD3HGTCwNcYuzSokzHeSmwTlFaeJW64CXCumzLPIQihq5feqKw8J8_65Y8LdT50hUoop00_oqLBNa8K_VQAAtbrU5RqrAlRgNkrNanM6ZQxnlZJyTL3YfykoFNIgYf7E/s1600/66.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="862" data-original-width="960" height="358" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiOqYEPeWwr2qUhD3HGTCwNcYuzSokzHeSmwTlFaeJW64CXCumzLPIQihq5feqKw8J8_65Y8LdT50hUoop00_oqLBNa8K_VQAAtbrU5RqrAlRgNkrNanM6ZQxnlZJyTL3YfykoFNIgYf7E/s400/66.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Then while I was making her card, I remembered I had two of these little shadow frames. I just knew there was something I could use it for. I measured the insides of each space and cut watercolour paper to size. Then I stamped all the images in black Staz-on. I then used my ink pads and aqua painter to watercolour all the images. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMd39Nn54bYfZKKvxco4CnuAloibsHUyXkYRPCIQ_-JPpFOXekhBViwwNqqZ_RAa_SZKXpr9nkEw1EJsNFKtg2qy6UxK18UiLYGP0Qn5y4WqmMo3ffiutGURQBwDVcKHhm2E7UoJnO1tVI/s1600/65.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="948" data-original-width="960" height="395" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMd39Nn54bYfZKKvxco4CnuAloibsHUyXkYRPCIQ_-JPpFOXekhBViwwNqqZ_RAa_SZKXpr9nkEw1EJsNFKtg2qy6UxK18UiLYGP0Qn5y4WqmMo3ffiutGURQBwDVcKHhm2E7UoJnO1tVI/s400/65.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
This came out beautifully. I can't wait to give it to her. <br />

I used the hard foam wreath from an old Paper Pumpkin kit. I wrapped it with Cherry Cobbler ribbon and curled 1/2" x 6" All is Calm DSP. I attached them to the foam with applique pins. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

the fun piece on this wreath is the little deer. I stamped one in Cherry Cobbler and cut two. The blank one was attached to the wreath with applique pins to keep it secure. Then the stamped image is then glued on top with liquid tombow adhesive. I am quite pleased how this turned out, and my friend liked it as well.<br />

</div>
Every year I make holiday treats for my co-workers in my office. This will usually be about 70 just for the office I am in. I also make some extras for the employees at my local WaWa and a few of the customers that I see every day and talk to.<br />
<br />
I filled test tube treat holders with red and green M&Ms and the holder was made to hold the accent piece of Santa going head first down the chimney.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I took a 6x6 piece of cherry cobbler card stock and used the brick embossing folder. I then cut the pieces down to fit the base. I also used my Stampin' Up! Blendies to colour in the Santa image.<br />
<br />
these were well received by all who got them. I love doing holiday treats for my co-workers<br />

I always look for a *WOW* card every year for my manager since we tend to give her a gift card. So after looking through pinterest, I saw this one and tweaked it a little. Thanks for the idea Angie Leach at Too Cool Stamping. <br />

I attended Onstage LIVE in Orlando at the beginning of the month. Not only did they spoil us with LOTS of FREE gifts, I was able to order special bundles from the Pre-Order. I loved this Hello Cupcake set which is actually FREE! (a sneak peek of some SAB 2019 items) Since I am always making birthday cards, it was a MUST HAVE for me.<br />

here's a look at the inside- where my coworkers can sign the card as well.<br />
<br />
My manager's favourite colour is blue, so I used the new Balmy Blue card stock and gingham DSP (available in the 2019 Occasions catalog)<br />

one of the ladies I work with will be retiring on Friday. I've worked with her for 4 years now. Funniest little old lady you could imagine! It was always a joy to work with her. When our little company got bought and moved to a new location, she started working from home- and would come in twice a month. Those days I really looked forward to, because she was just so funny and a pleasure to work with. I will really miss her.<br />
<br />
So I had to make a better than 'usual' card for her. (she always loves the cards I make). I cased this from the lovely Rachel Tessman. It's called the Diagonal tuck explosion card. <br />
<br />

This is what it looks like opened. Plenty of room for everyone to leave a nice personal message for her. Friday will be bittersweet. <br />

Every month I send out birthday cards for a BRAK (Birthday Random Act of Kindness) on a board I've been on for what seems like-forever. So I always do a stack of birthday cards for each month to send out. This one was fun to make. I used the now retired stamp set from Sale-A-Bration Eclectic Expressions. It was the first time I took it out to play with. I will definitely have to use it more. There is also a "thank you" sentiment, so it's great for all kinds of cards.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeLsGD3JYe44vRqu9SewYV2JW-2zIKJ74aQ6dRkm_pACN30KFjozKM7VP_IsQBNuIE6u8HJon3rFZPJPQ9qsHOuXIR-ibZqb_RpSjaoK5vxSarhsHxKPpf8Tgy3S1bo9GskHg36Z1svnnn/s1600/57.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="697" data-original-width="960" height="290" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeLsGD3JYe44vRqu9SewYV2JW-2zIKJ74aQ6dRkm_pACN30KFjozKM7VP_IsQBNuIE6u8HJon3rFZPJPQ9qsHOuXIR-ibZqb_RpSjaoK5vxSarhsHxKPpf8Tgy3S1bo9GskHg36Z1svnnn/s400/57.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
this one was cased from Pinterest, with a couple changes. The original was just stamped on a white card base, but I wanted to add an additional layer, and put it on a base of Night of Navy. I used Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy ink. I also did a stamp off on the front "splotches" to make sure the sentiment stood out.<br />
<br />
I was easily able to make a stack of 18 of these rather quickly.<br />
<br />

This card came out better than I imagined. Anyone that knows me knows I love to watercolour stamped images when I can. And this one was no exception. <br />
<br />
I pulled out an oldie for this- Vivid Vases. I then let the water do the job. I really love how the vases came out-and this picture does not do it justice.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitFFlpgwW6KrcMJ_Lp1RV-InnKfaMdn0Qx9iaPmYyXaa0KpvCGjDMJCsi2W3H3c3N2uh_gtuWeT2B17QrXUwk8zwEG2IENslRZkU-uWE8qndTIfD684NcQHNIOduCdjdzhM46RsksJRLc3/s1600/61.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="689" data-original-width="1024" height="430" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitFFlpgwW6KrcMJ_Lp1RV-InnKfaMdn0Qx9iaPmYyXaa0KpvCGjDMJCsi2W3H3c3N2uh_gtuWeT2B17QrXUwk8zwEG2IENslRZkU-uWE8qndTIfD684NcQHNIOduCdjdzhM46RsksJRLc3/s640/61.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I trimmed it a bit to add it to the front layer that was stamped in the marble background stamp. I added some ribbon for an added touch. <br />

<br />
<br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8oUMy0ERXt_-wZUj-axe0-I8G1wXd9p0WRE9ySPrLvXudEM7-UG2ehQ-xt4vUWADxHPNzTiT3Ykyil20ivlCdlt3m7B66R5_yJlC4PQhL_4CEiI84bk5KNrXbZyYsmu9xJ2zisDAachRn/s1600/nancy+D+card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="752" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8oUMy0ERXt_-wZUj-axe0-I8G1wXd9p0WRE9ySPrLvXudEM7-UG2ehQ-xt4vUWADxHPNzTiT3Ykyil20ivlCdlt3m7B66R5_yJlC4PQhL_4CEiI84bk5KNrXbZyYsmu9xJ2zisDAachRn/s400/nancy+D+card.jpg" width="311" /></a></div>
This came together rather quickly (after playing around with the white bit to get the angle right) <br />
<br />
I used pacific point for the base, with whisper white and daffodil delight and real red. I used the bow punch, which made quick work of the bow and just 1/4" strips of daffodil delight.<br />
<br />
I know she'll appreciate this one.<br />

<br />
And of course this meant I had to make a shaker card. I did a mix of old and new. Stampin up is bringing back one of my favourite blues- Coastal Cabana. So I had to use that with the seaside texture embossing folder to make the waves. The dolphins are from a retired set. Stamped on thick whisper white cardstock in basic gray. I then watercoloured them in smoky slate. When that was dry, I added some clear wink of stella.<br />
<br />
In the shaker part of the card, I mixed the retired dazzling diamonds, and the to be released tranquil textures sprinkles. I stamped the edges of the crumb cake cardstock with images from timeless textures in soft suede. Just to make it "feel" like sand. This was all mounted on a bermuda bay base.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The card was a hit. She loved it and I'm so glad she did. I love making cards that reflect the receiver's interests. </div>

She has a love (and passion) for making quilts. So when this set came out last Winter, I knew I had to get it and make her a special card. I knew she'd love it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I also used coordinating paper to line the envelope. And decorated the inside. Another dear friend of mine always tells me "no naked envelopes" so when I do remember to actually decorate the outside, I let her know lol<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The recipient loved it, and I know she treasures it as much as I treasure the quilts she's made me.<br />

I had an old hard covered binder and I wanted to reuse it to keep my card making ideas/projects in one place. (it's a real bummer when you go to look for those measurements you wrote down on a piece of paper, and can't find it). So I used the bright DSP from the free paper you could earn from the recent Sale-A-Bration. (I love that lemon lime twist) <br />

We are now up to 5 offices! That's a lot of signatures. His birthday is in October, so in the Summer I start thinking of what kind of card I want to do. Last October it was an accordion fold. Each page was double sided, and folded up and tied closed. <br />

ahhhh more crack of stupid crafting. I love the 2ish hours I get alone in the morning at my regular job and work on a few things when needed (or wanted). Today I was finishing up putting ears on the Vampires. These little guys are going to be for Halloween treats for my co-workers. I've made quite a few already, but I have left over ears, so I will make some more Vampires. lol<br />
I really like the skeletons with their "glow in the dark" eyes. <br />

When I need to make a quick stack of cards, simple designs work best for me. Something I can repeat in any colour. I took the new SU in-colours and I made a stack of 30 cards in no time at all. I love the image from the Celebrate You set. it's big but not over powering on a card front. It lets the image take centre stage. <br />

One that's coming up likes monkeys, so this year I used an old set from Stampin' Up! called Sock Monkey. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCM9IC7rghF4PJANnu_oAXwOpfiOPRYEFhjeIsfHbQu53hipuPlOfx38cO4mR5pxWtnZrVhVvcg7MjtI14P1NJUSO_XlqeP6DoiefH3P4XNFGzbuqvvtJvmm1stKI6wKnhm2oONo6eyFGm/s1600/18.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="786" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCM9IC7rghF4PJANnu_oAXwOpfiOPRYEFhjeIsfHbQu53hipuPlOfx38cO4mR5pxWtnZrVhVvcg7MjtI14P1NJUSO_XlqeP6DoiefH3P4XNFGzbuqvvtJvmm1stKI6wKnhm2oONo6eyFGm/s640/18.jpg" width="523" /></a></div>
there are layers on this from the cupcake being popped up with dimensionals, to the party hat being cut and watercoloured and added to the monkey's head. I am pleased how it came out. I love the new in-colour lemon lime twist. I also used other current in-colours dapper denim and emerald envy. I am pleased how this card came out- and I can't wait to give it to the birthday girl. I hope she likes it :)<br />

</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
I was asked last minute by one of my co-workers if I could make a card for the wedding she was going to over the weekend. I say, sure, what style/theme would you like? Beach? sure.... no problem. Already in my head I'm thinking of a few images I have....<br />
<br />
So I get home that night, and right after dinner, I get to work....<br />
<br />
this is what I came up with:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfvPlXj-QNpgys2nABbA6lR3vQBTsEFYLiKX04rJN1b4BF7s28NUafDiz-uQdOqVYzDTA0sBoiZTbqtSlti5q1GUT8MwvGjk9FmFMWQ8FAj5dc4FhyhxZEeVnvTLHqdSDj6V1doJTq0JCq/s1600/wedding+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="249" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfvPlXj-QNpgys2nABbA6lR3vQBTsEFYLiKX04rJN1b4BF7s28NUafDiz-uQdOqVYzDTA0sBoiZTbqtSlti5q1GUT8MwvGjk9FmFMWQ8FAj5dc4FhyhxZEeVnvTLHqdSDj6V1doJTq0JCq/s320/wedding+1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
After finding out what the wedding colour was, I knew I had to use my old retired SU Coastal Cabana ink and paper. In fact, everything on this card is retired (I guess that's why I never sell my retired stamp sets) lol<br />
<br />
after getting my fingers all inky using Tempting Turquoise, Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake and inking up the whisper white card stock. I was quite pleased how the colours blended. I then took the palm tree from another retired set: Tropical Party. I used my SU Stamp and write markers in Soft Suede and Old Olive and coloured on the stamped image and lined it up using my stamp-a-majig. I then stamped the bride and groom on whisper white and archival black. This image was from the SU Best of set: Brides and Babies. I added by using my aqua painter coastal cabana on the tux, bow and flowers. I then added some blush blossom (another retired stamp n write colour marker) then I took my wink of stella and coloured in the bride's dress. I also took my white gel pen and added "waves" to break up the beach and water. I then stamped the outside sentiment from the stamp set: For the New Two. I punched a row of the hearts from the heart border punch, and used a heart that covered the black one from the sentiment.<br />
<br />
I cut a piece of crumb cake card stock and inked the edges with soft suede and used that as a mat between the card base and image.<br />
<br />
I typically do not write or put sentiments inside all of my cards, but sometimes I do. I did for this one:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOcr452IAsu8kkPPjkkw9yr45Cqw0Cg8SEeBlWfNk8aYbIEc4W-RaqyTC5fgLeiCUJTKX400aLHa0i9v_BaIGV2OBfajywfOHG77mJ20G-fIqsJMW_o8HqFu5zjHxi7-DUlbjV8bmjURL_/s1600/wedding+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOcr452IAsu8kkPPjkkw9yr45Cqw0Cg8SEeBlWfNk8aYbIEc4W-RaqyTC5fgLeiCUJTKX400aLHa0i9v_BaIGV2OBfajywfOHG77mJ20G-fIqsJMW_o8HqFu5zjHxi7-DUlbjV8bmjURL_/s400/wedding+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set For the New Two, then inked up the flowers in coastal cabana, stamped off one time then stamped over the sentiment to add a little something extra to it.<br />
<br />
so after getting a "shove" from another member on one of the facebook boards I share my work on, she suggested I submit it to <br />

First was a set of Staedtler triplus fineliner pens. A friend saw I had them on my "addiction" board on pinterest and sent them to me as a happy mail surprise (which it was!) There was a message on the gift card stating a little crew is on the way in July... well what a surprise when I got it! It was another item on my Penguins pinterest board-- a package of penguin paper clips! They are so darling! I just knew I had to make a card with them- and send it to someone special.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikBFwsV9HQ3GpPqibxfEJpyDu-j9EZDWwT5WC2EucMx72l9s0JcW01iAL3YfG7rBAn6H42S8s8a4k3vA2y58P8pnzo3cYlPX7egpzM59GXFIWKLNR3q0x9fE_tA6_M5OG07jxfgyC7kFYo/s1600/penguin+friends.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="464" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikBFwsV9HQ3GpPqibxfEJpyDu-j9EZDWwT5WC2EucMx72l9s0JcW01iAL3YfG7rBAn6H42S8s8a4k3vA2y58P8pnzo3cYlPX7egpzM59GXFIWKLNR3q0x9fE_tA6_M5OG07jxfgyC7kFYo/s640/penguin+friends.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
It's a simple card. Actually it's a shaker card. I stamped the "water" using the Jars of love bundle from Stampin' Up!. I then sliced the top of it. I slipped 2 of the penguin clips onto the paper. I added some dazzling diamonds in it so it 'sparkled' like water. Inside I wrote my little message then added: Penguin friends are FOREVER friends. And it's true. She and I have been friends for a long time now. I think she's going to like this card.<br />

He loves sailing, and what better way to celebrate his birthday than with a sail boat birthday card.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

this one I am very pleased with. I used 2 stamps. Stampin' Up! Sail Away (which is retired) and an image from the current catalog- Timeless Textures. The effect it gives is absolutely awesome. <br />
<br />
It worked well as I inked the image, then I stamped off one time onto my grid paper, then stamped on the white card stock. I did this every time, and it gave a lighter effect, and created depth when I overlapped the stamp. I masked off the sails, so I could stamp in between them. Then I added wink of stella on the water only. It's across all of it, but the flash of my camera caught it as a highlight, which was a nice effect.<br />
<br />
I think I'm going to have to make more of these cards. And try this effect for the sky as well for other images (motorcycle, truck, scenery, etc)<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by<br />
